Use the Lifecraft "Share Extension" to clip text, links, photos from other apps and save them as Lifecraft journal entries. Lifecraft does not need to be open when you do this.
On your iPhone/iPad
- Select some content in another app (Safari, Photos, etc.)
- Tap the Share icon OR the "Share" button:
- Tap the Lifecraft icon in the sheet that appears. If you don't see the Lifecraft icon, select “More” and make sure Lifecraft is enabled:
- The selected text/link/photos will be copied to the Share dialog. You can then add any desired text.
- Tap "Save New Entry In" to choose where the new entry will be saved. You can choose: (1) a journal or (2) an existing entry:
- If you choose a journal, the content will be saved in a new entry in the selected journal.
- If you choose an existing entry, the content will be added to the end of the selected entry.
- When you're ready, click Save. The next time you open Lifecraft, you'll see the new/updated journal entry.
On your Mac
Before you can use the Share Extension on the Mac, you must enable it. This can be done by choosing "More" in the Share menu. Or you can in enable it in the System Preferences:

- Choose > System Preferences > Extensions > Share Menu.
- Scroll down until you see Lifecraft. Make sure the checkbox is selected:

- Select some content in another app (Safari, Photos, etc.)
- Click the Share button. It usually appears in the top-right corner of the app window:
- If you don't see a Share button in the app, control-click the selected text, then choose "Share" in the contextual menu that appears:
- Select Lifecraft in the Share menu. If you don't see Lifecraft, select “More” at the bottom of the menu and make sure Lifecraft is enabled.
- The selected text/link/photos will be copied to the Share dialog. You can then add any desired text:
- Click the menu at the bottom of the dialog to choose where where the new entry will be saved. You can choose: (1) a journal or (2) an existing entry.
- If you choose a journal, the content will be saved in a new entry in the selected journal.
- If you choose an existing entry, the content will be added to the end of the selected entry.
- When you're ready, click Save. The next time you open Lifecraft, you'll see the new/updated journal entry.
