Create a Journal or Sub-journal

Lifecraft supports unlimited journals and sub-journals.

On your iPhone/iPad

1. Tap 
2. If another journal is selected (not All Entries or Main), choose whether to create a new journal in the main journal list or a sub-journal inside the selected journal.
3. Enter a journal name.

On your Mac

1. Choose File > New Journal.
2. If another journal is selected (not All Entries or Main), choose whether to create a new journal in the main journal list or a sub-journal inside the selected journal.
3. Enter a journal name.

Move a journal (Mac)

• To make Journal A a sub-journal of Journal B, drag Journal A and drop it onto Journal B. (Journal B can't be All Entries or Main).
• If Journal A is a sub-journal of another journal, drag & drop it onto All Entries to move it to the top journal level.

Rename or delete a journal

On your iPhone/iPad

1. Touch and hold a journal name until the options menu appears (or swipe LEFT ⇠ over a journal name).
2. Choose Rename, Change icon or Move to Trash.

On your Mac

1. Hold the control key on your keyboard and click a journal name to open the options menu.
2. Choose Rename Journal, Change Journal Icon or Delete Journal. 

Mac shortcuts:

• Select a journal and press the Return key to rename the journal.
• Select a journal and press the Delete key to delete the journal.

When you delete a journal, all of its entries are moved to the Trash.

Recover deleted entries

On your iPhone/iPad

1. Tap  at the bottom of the journal list.
2. Tap the More Button (···) above the entry list.
3. Tap the Select button in the More view.
4. Select the entries you want to recover and tap Move at the bottom of the entry list.
5. Choose the journal where you'd like the entries moved.

To move a single entry, you can also:

• Touch and hold the entry in the entry list, then select Move.
• Or swipe LEFT ⇠ over the entry in the entry list and select MOVE.

On your Mac

1. Select  at the bottom of the journal list.
2. Drag the entries you want to recover and drop them onto a different journal.

To permanently delete all entries in the Trash, tap  (iPhone/iPad) or choose Lifecraft > Empty Trash (Mac).

Check the weather

Today’s weather forecast appears at the top of the journal list. Click the weather to see a detailed 10-day forecast.

Check your calendar (Mac)

Today's calendar events appear above the journal list.

• To insert the visible calendar events into a journal entry, select an entry, then click one of the calendar events.
• To select which calendars are shown, choose Preferences > General and click the Calendars: Choose Visible button.

Note: to insert calendar events into the selected entry on iPhone/iPad, tap the More button (···) above the journal entry. Then tap the Insert button in the More view and select Calendar Events.
